Life… SLOW DOWN PLEASE!

I keep waiting for my life to slow down so I can get in here and actually make this site become a “real blog”. But it never slows down! I’m totally in denial that the year is halfway over already.

My mom is doing much better and is back home finally. Physically she’s doing well but has a long road ahead still. Mentally she’s doing as good as can be expected in her situation.

As for me… work got crazy, it’s summer, the kids are home for summer break, we have 1001 projects to finish on our house this summer… and then a big 4th of July party coming up. We originally wanted to not do the 4th of July thing this year but the protests and screams of woe were heard for miles, (one friend actually said if JnT don’t have a party, there is no 4th of July…) so the party’s on and shaping up to be bigger than ever! Especially since our neighbor across the street is having one too and there is talk of combining the parties. Party on our block this year!

It’s also allergy season. J and my daughter are in allergy hell right now. This is worse than cold season because it seems to never end. As I type this, J is outside with a weed-whacker, long sleeves, sweats, face mask, hat, gloves, and safety glasses whacking weeds… in 96 degree weather. Ok, it’s not 96 out there yet, but it’s pretty warm and he’s dressed for winter. It’s kinda funny. But he has to do what he can to keep the pollen n’ stuff off his face/skin or he’ll be trying to claw his eyes out the second the weed-eater gobbles its first weed!

So, yeah, here’s yet another lame post passing off excuses about why I don’t post. It doesn’t really matter much, right? Cause who still reads this? I’d be shocked if anyone did but spammers, and they don’t *actually* read here. But if you do happen upon this entry/site leave a comment or something!
