Yay!

We got the keys! We went over and picked them up as soon as the call came in. On the front door was a very sweet note from the previous owners welcoming us. We spent an hour just Jack and I alone in our new home. We walked from room to room and admired everything. Then we acted like little kids getting all excited and giddy over some of the neat stuff we didn’t know was there. Like in the kitchen, the pantry has roll-out basket type drawers, and each of the cupboards under the counters had roll out bottoms. And the corner cupboard had two huge lazy Susans. We giggled as we found a fresh banana cream pie left for us from the owners in the beautiful NEW fridge they threw into the deal. (Originally they weren’t.) A nice Whirlpool even…

We walked around the gardens and ate some raspberries off the bushes. Then I stressed a bit about the fancy landscaping. Can we keep up on that? We’ll find out I guess!

I can’t wait for family and friends to see our new home! You’re all invited on the fourth!
